Everyone has a skin story- Including me! (Taja = founder of Lunch biome beauty). Growing up with eczema, I've always been hyper aware of how anything from dust, different foods, sweat, stress and especially certain ingredients in skincare, can cause a flare up.
From 2022-2024 there was also never a time when I didn't have a breakout on my face. I started to really pay attention to the products I was using on my skin every day, and alongside other interventions, such as eating a wider variety of healthy foods, regulating my sleep and stress levels and consistently taking my probiotics. After around 6 months, I finally started to see my skin clear up!
Something I started to notice more and more in the beauty industry is how brands would claim to be safe for sensitive skin, but their ingredients list would tell a different story. More often than not, these products actually end up doing more harm to the skin barrier than good. I wondered what it would be like to have a brand that specialises in real skincare that actually supports the skin microbiome to do its job, and now we have Lunch!
The name 'Lunch' is inspired by the idea of feeding the good bacteria on the skin surface (the skin microbiome) by using nourishing ingredient formulations. Alongside the formulations, specific pH levels are used to create a conducive environment for the growth of more beneficial bacteria, which helps protect and support our skin.
Lunch biome beauty products are formulated by local compound pharmacists who specialise in microbiome science. An alternative to traditional beauty products, microbiome-focused skincare is an innovative and evidence-based solution, which is what we specialise in at Lunch biome beauty. We do this all while still keeping things fun and fresh (and we really do mean fresh; our products are small batch ordered and minimally preserved, as to not disrupt the skin microbiome)
